Blame it on Mom Brain: Your Ultimate Companion Through New Motherhood

And just like that… 9 months in, 18 months out.

My son’s roars of laughter light up our entire home, he is absolutely obsessed with water in all forms, chats with cats, the moon, and stars, and I’m pretty sure he’s going to be taller than me by two years old. I’ve experienced some of my soul’s most blissful highs, and deepest lows, since becoming a mother… He has truly been the biggest lesson in going with the flow that I’ve ever had.

My new journey into motherhood has sprung up a lot of new feelings I never knew existed within me, trudged up super old ones, and, has presented experiences to me that I could never have had prior to becoming a Mum.

I wanted to use my voice to articulate these feelings out loud and go beyond pen-to-paper when I journal, or, fingertips to keyboard when I blog.

And so, Blame It On Mom Brain Podcast was born. 🎙

Not to toot my own horn, but, Blame it on Mom Brain podcast offers an absolutely must-listen experience for new moms.

With its comprehensive coverage of real-life experiences, a supportive environment, informative content, diverse topics, expert interviews, and even a “Dad series” where we focused on fatherhood and their experiences with postpartum + depression, this podcast becomes a valuable resource for new moms on their journey. By tuning in, you can find solace, gain knowledge, and realize you’re not alone in this beautiful, yet challenging phase of life.

Together with my beautiful friend, Jodine, (who I met during our online birthing class at 36 weeks pregnant!) we decided to openly share our text message conversations about what this new experience into motherhood has been like for us, with YOU.

We also are the only two people from our natural birthing class who ended up needing emergency c-sections. So, we connected deeply throughout recovery as we learned how to do that, together, too.

We’re two new moms, who knew nothing about pregnancy, babies, or, what postpartum life had in store…. And always wondered why we felt SO alone navigating our own thoughts about it. We wondered why nobody was saying what it really felt like — so, we did it ourselves.

If you've ever felt like alone at any stage in your motherhood experience (spoiler alert: I promise you, you're not) then we’d love to help you feel seen, supported, and understood via openly sharing our own raw and real experiences.

We launched Blame It on Mom Brain in August 2022. And since then, we have had hundreds of downloads and listeners from new mothers (and, new dads!) tuning in from all over the world.

New episodes release every Tuesday! And, if you follow along on Instagram , then you can send us episode topic ideas about motherhood that you'd love to hear from us live on air. You can listen to our podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or anywhere you catch your favourite podcasts.

This particular new podcast adventure I’m on is very mom-specific stuff— it may not be your jam. No harm done if it isn’t.

But, ✨if you or someone you know is

thinking of getting pregnant,

within your pregnancy,

in the throes of postpartum life,

are either a brand new mom -or- more seasoned into the realm of motherhood

Then, I'd love to invite you to listen to our podcast.

Or, pass it alone and share Blame It On Mom Brain with a mother who may need it.

Motherhood is wild enough; let’s say it like it is, and navigate it, together.
